Connect information stream to Heat Exchanger

Post by Stephan »

I have a heat exchanger in a flowsheet.
All material ports are connected. The HEX ist set to Co-Flow and
Effeciveness from NTU. I have configured a virtual information inlet port as NTU and want to
insert the NTU-number from outside the reactor.
However, I'm unable to connect the information stream to the heat exchanger.
I can connect the information stream only, when I disconnect one materialstream before.

What is wrong here?

Here is an HEX example. I can not connect the inlet information stream. Same problem occurs with compound splitters in my flowsheet.

The problem is the icon - it does not have sufficient connection points. It is shown in the log:

message: Unable to connect to unit "HeatExchanger_21": no connection points on icon; remove or replace unit icon

You could right click the unit, and remove the icon. Or select a different one. Or edit the existing one and add a connection point.
