Data Type Mismatch

Post by nrgeng »

A Data Type mismatch was discovered while working on a flow sheet. When using an Information Measure Unit, the Mass enthalpy and Mass enthalpyF Data Types both display as Mass enthalpyF Data Type but with seemingly correct numerical values. The Molar enthalpy Data Type pair has no similar mismatch. Hope you can help. I have emailed an fsd file for your review.

The numerous other Data Types were not checked so their verification remains for another time.

The information streams get populated upon a unit of measure mis-match. What I imagine happened in this case was that the measure unit was first set to measure mass enthalpyF, then the information stream was connected, and then the measure unit was reconfigured to measure mass enthalpy instead of mass enthalpyF. Upon exiting the editing of the unit, there was no reason for the information stream to re-populate as the only parameter it has still matches unit of measure with the only piece of data it was connected to.

As a background, the information stream content is determined the first time the stream is connected (cf https://www.cocosimulator.org/index_hel ... treams.htm), as it may not necessarily match the name on both ends of the conection (as there is no way to assume that these names are equal).

To fix this for you case, disconnect the information stream (now it has no parameter on there) and then connect it again (now it has one J/kg data item on there, for which the name is taken from the first connection)
