I updated COCO from 2.702 to 2.705. When I remove the unit icon and then select unit icon I don't get a selection of unit icons. The dialog box is blank.

I noticed that too. It is fixed, but I am away from the office. I will upload the fix along with some other fixes when I am back in the office, Monday. Thank you for reporting this.
