OVERALL phase

hi All
Using the fixed conversion reactor I ran into the following message:
message: FixedConversionReactor_1 warning: Multiple phases (Vapor, Solid) are present in reactor. All reactions will be performed on OVERALL phase.
No surprise at all, as I indeed entered a solid and vapor as reactor feed. But obviously also an overall reaction phase is defined. Would it be possible to refer to that phase as a choice? It will remove the warning, but also, and more important, it shows the actual reaction base.

Another question, but I guess less trivial : I try to define a reactor model for a fermentation process. The main reactions take place in a slurry, and this could be gas, liquid, and solid phase reactions, I only use the overall reactions, not at bacteria level. Up to now, in another simulation environment, I defined the V/L phases to be in equilibrium using a Gibbs minimization approach, and VLS reactions are defined using a fixed conversion approach. I would love to try/use a CSTR type reactor, in which I define some kind of kinetics. Would it be possible to defnie and use the OVERALL phase within the CSTR reactor model?

regards, Henk

Specifying overall for a reaction is possible, just type "Overall" in the reaction phase field.

The fixed conversion reactor was not smart enough to skip the phase check in this case. But it is now. Update available via CUP.

You are welcome. And thank you for the suggestion.
