Gibbs Reactor Unit Failure

Post by nrgeng »

I updated with CUP (2.5.0.15). The Flowsheet, Gibbs Unit (Forum) 13 May 02.fsd as e-mailed solves. To create the problem: (1) reset then solve as e-mailed, (2) switch Reactive Compounds from carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide, (3) then reset and solve and observe the simulation fail and drop out of COFE.

If you also select water, then the flowsheet solves. May I suggest that you create an error message with a less severe consequence. Sound Good?

Thank you for reporting this issue. It is now fixed (CUP).

The problem was that with the selected compounds, no reaction is possible. Now this leads to an error condition. Previously this lead to an index out of bounds while scaling the equations.
