Re: pcd manager
Which unit operation will help me to convert solid sulfur into liquid sulfur??
please explain in detail.

Re: pcd manager
Which thermo are you using that contains sulphur in the solid and liquid phases?
Re: pcd manager
In my process sulfur is available in solid state in market. I need to convert solid sulfur into its vapor for my process.
Hence I need to convert solid sulfur to liquid and then to vapour.
Please suggest me a way out.

Re: pcd manager
Are you performing phase separations that require vapor/liquid/solid sulphur to move in different directions?
In other words: does the phase equilibrium need to be predicted accurately?

Re: pcd manager
No, I just need to convert solid sulfur into liquid molten sulfur and later that liquid sulfur into vapor sulfur.
Re: pcd manager
If you are not using phase separations, why do you need to convert the sulphur into vapor?
Re: pcd manager
Because I cant use solid sulfur in my process.
Vapor sulfur is my requirement in the process.
Vapor sulfur is my requirement in the process.
Re: pcd manager
For which particular part of your process is it a requirement, if not for a phase separation? For a reaction?
Re: pcd manager
Yes, I need to react vapor sulfur with pure oxygen to obtain sulfur dioxide.
Re: pcd manager
Then I would suggest reacting the sulphur straight from the solid phase. Predicting a solid-liquid-vapor equilbrium is not straight forward and TEA will not do it for you.
