Implementing reaction interface on a COBIA Unit

Greetings Dr Jasper and fellow developers,

I could nit find the Chemical Reactions interface specifications consistent with Thermo 1.1 or any mention to the interfaces in COBIA reference documents. Is it not possible yet to develop a reactor unit using COBIA SDK?

The chemical reactions interface is part of CAPE-OPEN 1.0 and has not been ported into COBIA, in favour of the new reaction interface, considered to be part of CAPE-OPEN 1.1; this unforunately is not published yet. The answer is therefore: it will be possible, but not yet.

Thanks as always for your reply. Is there a timeline for the Reactions 1.1 specifications and integration into COBIA?

The request for comments (RFC) on the specification will go out in a matter of days, hopefully. After that it will still take a bit for it to get published and implemented.

You may want to check with the representative of POLIMI in CO-LaN for a copy of the draft interface specification for Chemical Reactions. He has access to it. Your review, in light of your requirements for use, could be useful to CO-LaN.
