Expander

Post by thubelihle »

Hi. Is there a way l can view the work consumption of an expander? It only shows me work generated but l also want to know work consumed . Thanks

You could check the enthalpy balance over the unit (double click the unit, balance, enthalpy)

If you need that number in your simulation, you could use a measure unit before and after to grab the total enthalpy, and use an information calculator to calculate the total work based on ingoing and outgoing enthalpy and work generated.

Thank you, looking the definition of the expander from help section, is it true that if I divide work generated by efficiency l obtain workload of the expander?

Yes. You can verify this by the enthalpy balance.
